The Wooden York Navajo Jacket is the collection's graphic jacket — crafted from a Navajo-patterned fabric in Green, it carries within its very weave the visual references of American Navajo textile culture, reinterpreted in Wooden's Italian palette and construction. York — New York — adds the contemporary American urban dimension that completes and updates the ancestral Navajo reference.
The Navajo pattern is woven directly into the fabric — geometric, repetitive, expressive in each of its lines. In Green, it takes on a natural dimension reminiscent of the Arizona and New Mexico landscapes that the Navajo have inhabited for generations.
