I had been looking for a Harrington for years. I should have started with this one.

The G9 Harrington by Baracuta is the original — not a version, not an homage, the foundational model. Created in Manchester in 1937 by the Miller brothers, worn by James Dean, Steve McQueen, and Frank Sinatra before the term Harrington even existed, it defined an entire category of men's clothing starting from a simple request: a lightweight, waterproof, elegant jacket that transitions effortlessly from the British countryside to the city.
The cut is precise and recognizable — button-up collar, metal YKK zipper, flat shoulder yokes, zipped side pockets. The Ventile cotton — a technical long-staple fabric developed for the RAF during World War II — naturally resists moisture without a synthetic membrane. The red and beige Fraser tartan lining is the signature element visible when open: Baracuta's identity concentrated in one detail.
