The Pellet Cauan is a suede split leather derby – an open-laced shoe (open-laced Oxford) made of suede split leather crafted in Romans-sur-Isère. Split leather suede is a leather from the inner side of the hide, lightly sanded to create a matte suede look that is more rustic and textured than full-grain suede.
In Whiskey and Taupe, the two colors offered are the most direct for a split leather suede shoe – Whiskey provides an amber warmth and chromatic vibrancy, while Taupe maintains discretion and versatility. The Cauan is built on a slightly wider and more comfortable last than standard city derbies, designed for all-day wear without constraint. The leather sole allows for resoling by a cobbler.
