The August Rib Olive has been under my Barney Worker since the first cold snap. It will stay there until spring.
Worn in Olive under a closed Olive Barney Worker Jacket, the August Rib creates a deep green monochrome ensemble with two complementary textures—ribbed wool and canvas. With Gritty Jackson Dry Old jeans and boots, the workwear-Nordic outfit is complete and authentic.
Elastic and resistant ribbed knitThe rib stitch gives the sweater a natural elasticity, allowing it to return to its shape after each wear. It resists felting and pilling better than standard wool jerseys.
Straight cut without excessNeither too fitted nor too loose. The August Rib can be worn alone or under a chore jacket or a blazer. It fits under the Barney Worker without creating bulk at the shoulders or cuffs.
