The Jim Green Vellie is the founding shoe of the South African house — the Vellie (short for Veldskoen, field shoe in Afrikaans) is Southern Africa's most authentic work and exploration shoe. Jim Green has been making its shoes in South Africa for decades with local leather and traditional techniques inherited from the Afrikaner pioneers.
In Chestnut and Chocolate, the two most natural shades of full-grain leather. The natural crepe sole absorbs shocks, grips on all surfaces, and can be resoled by a cobbler — the shoe for those who truly walk far and long. An honest and straightforward construction without any superfluous details.
