The Shipyard Waxed Jacket in Black / Bison is Danner's darkest and most assertive version of the waxed jacket. The Black / Bison – the black of the waxed cotton against the warm brown of the Bison – creates a more contrasting bicolor than the Tan / Bison, more urban, darker, but with the same construction and the same ambition for a jacket that lasts a decade.
The same naturally waterproof waxed cotton, the same thermal tartan lining, the same homage to the shipyards of the Willamette. The outer Black ages, revealing the deep brown tones of the Bison in areas of friction – the wax wears differently in different areas to create a unique and personal patina.
