The Fleurs de Bagne Sweat Jo Le Boxeur is named after Jo le Boxeur — a character from 1920s-30s French popular culture, the archetype of the pugilist from Parisian working-class neighborhoods and French ports who trained in the back rooms of popular cafés between two ship departures or two convictions.
In Orange, the sweatshirt takes on the most vibrant and expressive shade of the Fleurs de Bagne collection — the orange of sunsets on the Guyanese coasts and the orange of amateur boxing rings in the neighborhoods.
